FACILITATING LIFELONG LEARNING IN LESOTHO

Newtoro is a non-profit mobile library organization established in February 2021. The organization’s headquarters are based in Mokhotlong district, but it has a footprint in all 10 the districts of Lesotho.

The organization rents out a wide range of books to the public at affordable rates all over the country utilizing the services of the local courier company for delivery and collection of the books.
The organization does not have libraries in physical building instead it utilizes the mobile approach to get the Books at the doorstep of the readers countrywide. The organization is about increasing access to books and promoting the culture of reading and lifelong learning among the young people. It is non-profit driven however it charges some small rental fees to the readers to keep us up with its daily operations and logistics related costs. The delivery of books is free nationwide

We even have a book club in our library.

The aim is to help children to acquire necessary skills such as reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking to develop into happy healthy adults.

Through our book club, we conduct learning activities  such as; debate, spelling  bee, essay writing, unscrambled sentences/words and much more
We also have Chess club to further assist development of critical thinking skills.

A:          You can contact us via Call / Whatsapp and ask us any book you need,  as well as what your location is.  Then the book gets delivered at your doorstep.
